A Look Back at EcoDoR 2026

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Agropolis International, the second study day of the Montpellier data workshop, EcoDoR, was held, titled “Research Data Law: From Legal to Ethical.”

Bringing together more than 88 participants in person and remotely, numerous aspects related to sensitive data—in the social sciences and humanities as well as in health—were addressed in a very concrete manner, with solid approaches for addressing these issues: the general legal framework with a presentation of theJurisDoR online platform, ethics in animal experimentation, the impact of generative AI, health and research data (RIPH), interview methodology and feedback from the Global South, and the challenges of anonymization.

Numerous discussions enriched the event, providing a unique opportunity to bring together legal and ethical perspectives.

Thank you once again to the speakers, who did such a great job of clearly and vividly highlighting the issues surrounding the legal and ethical aspects of research data.

The video recordings will soon be available on CanalU …
