EcoDoR, already 3 years since certification!

Certified in December 2022 by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Space, the EcoDoR Data Workshop, "towards an ECOsystem of Research Data on the Montpellier site," has successfully implemented several services for research teams to assist them in managing research data:

  • Scientists can submit their questions and requests via a single point of contact launched last May and shared by EcoDoR's 12 partners, with a joint team of respondents.
  • A checklist for reviewing data management plans, incorporating recommendations from the 12 partners, was also posted online in 2025, and the working group is now focusing its efforts on implementing a network of shared research data advisors.
  • A training catalog now lists the courses available to researchers, and awareness-raising and training initiatives have been put in place: webinars (live and then broadcast on EcoDoR's Canal U channel), training courses on data management plans, annual study days, etc.

Finally, new working groups involving all 12 partners are being set up to focus on best practices for using electronic lab notebooks, leveraging data sets, and, in the near future, the specific nature of data in the humanities and social sciences.

The network of research data management support staff is growing stronger and facilitating constructive exchanges and the sharing of practices, particularly during face-to-face meetings (day in January 2025, morning at the end of November 2025, etc.).

EcoDoR is also part of a national network that is growing steadily and fueling local debate.
