The challenges of data reproducibility: webinar (UM)

The reproducibility crisis reflects the difficulties scientists encounter in reproducing research results.

At the turn of the 2000s, a resurgence of these difficulties was observed within the scientific community (2005 John P.A. Ionnidis). This crisis, which is still ongoing today, has led scientists to question their practices in terms of integrity, openness, and management of research data and scientific output.

Gabriel Bayle, Doctor of Economics and member of the Economic Analysis and Theory Group (GATE, CNRS, Université Lumière Lyon 2), actively campaigns for better reproducibility of research results, in particular through the practice of replication and open data, pre-registration of studies, and the use of experimental protocols.
