The Challenges of Data Reproducibility: Webinar (UM)
The reproducibility crisis reflects the difficulties scientists face in replicating research results.
It was around the turn of the 21st century that an increase in these difficulties was observed within the scientific community (2005 John P.A. Ionnidis). This crisis, which persists today, is leading scientists to question their practices regarding integrity, openness, and the management of research data and scientific outputs.
Gabriel Bayle, Ph.D. in Economics and a member of the Group for Economic Analysis and Theory (GATE, CNRS, Université Lumière Lyon 2), actively advocates for improved reproducibility of research results, particularly through the practice of replication and open data, pre-registration of studies, as well as the use of experimental protocols.
