Publishing a Data Paper: Challenges Related to Best Practices, Scientific Integrity, and Open Science
Laurence Dedieu explains how a Data Paper fits into the global open science movement and addresses the challenges of data reuse, scientific integrity, reproducibility, and research transparency. The primary objective of the Data Paper is data reuse. To be successful, the Data Paper must adhere to best practices—particularly those specific to the discipline—regarding description, documentation, and open formats, so that the data is discoverable, accessible, understandable, interpretable, and reusable.
